Join a dazzling cocktail hour dance date to celebrate De La Warr Pavilion’s 80th birthday. What better setting than the iconic Pavilion to trip the light fantastic with two of the country’s leading purveyors of vintage music and traditional partner dance?

Your hosts The Ragroof Players will create a fantastic three-hour participatory event featuring DJs for discerning dancers playing authentic tunes from the 1920s to the 1950s (alternating with the live orchestra), glamorous costumes, glorious dance displays, and a chance for everyone to get on the dance floor. Ragroof’s unique instant mini dance classes , interweaved throughout the evening, mean everyone has the chance to learn a few basics, or to hone their skills.

From the Charleston of the 1920s Gatsby era, through the classic songs of the 1930s, to swing and jazz hits, Michael Law's The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra play the greatest dance music and the best Jazz Age tunes.
