Networks Of Neurons And Making Memories
Delve into the networks of cells in the brain: how they function, and how our understanding is leading to new treatments of brain disorders. Prof Roland Jones will be discussing the role of brain rhythms and how they can go wrong in diseases like epilepsy. While Dr Chris Bailey will consider the sci-fi tinted world of erasing memories and how current research is making this a very feasible possibility in the treatment of post-traumatic stress and addiction. Join University of Bath’s pharmacologists as they challenge you to make neurons over a couple of beers!
Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation and all your ticket money will go towards future events.
