'Joan of Arc: A History', with
Join the JORVIK Medieval Festival keynote speaker, Dr Helen Castor, to hear the fascinating story of Joan of Arc, the peasant girl who heard voices from God, and became a warrior leading an army to victory in an age that believed women cannot fight.
Dr Castor’s latest book uses the transcripts of Joan’s two medieval trials to build fascinating insights into her life and world.
With an opportunity to buy copies of Joan of Arc: A History and to have them signed by the author this is special addition to the festival.
