Giant
The Woodentops play Giant, the debut album released 1986. This melting pot of original independent chart topping rock ’n’ roll broke into the mainstream charts, producing a single ‘Good Thing’ that was the sound of the summer radio daytime, evening and John Peel at night, simultaneously.
Giant comes from the dawn of electronica, machines matched here with acoustic raw live performance,
a scientifically tight melodic bedrock for the characterful vocals of Rolo McGinty, one of UK’s most instantly recognisable voices.
