Like the expressionistic brushstrokes of a landscape painter, Katie Spencer conjures vivid landscapes through the medium of song. Curating intimate studies using her unique finger picked acoustic guitar style and an assured warm voice, Spencer underlines the sense of space that surrounds her home by the sea in Hornsea, East Yorkshire.
David Ward Maclean has worked as a musician in York, England for the past 25 years or so. He has supported John Martyn, Jack Bruce, John James, Ralph McTell, Dougie Maclean, and more recently Martin Carthy, Jethro Tull, John Otway, John Gomm, Edwina Hayes, Chris Helme, Woody Mann and Benjamin Francis Leftwich.
A devoted guitarist from the West Yorkshire town of Bingley, Henry Parker plays with an intricate finger-picking style that brings to mind the late 60's folk, psych and progressive rock scenes, with influence drawn from the likes of Bert Jansch, Nick Drake, Pentangle and Fairport Convention. His songwriting lyrically entwines landscapes, people and politics with roots that run deep into the traditional folk songs of England.
