Matt Woosey’s refreshing song writing and playing style has acoustic, roots-based music at it’s heart but is not limited to a particular genre. His self-penned songs are conveyed with an accomplished vocal delivery which has gained him praise from sources such as Paul Jones (BBC2), Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) and a variety of respected publications in the UK and around the globe.

With his consistent touring of the UK and Europe as well as South African and Australian tours under his belt, Matt has expanded his fan base considerably in the last couple of years and has managed to make a big impact on a variety of different music scenes. He has been recognised in 2015 with awards for his acoustic guitar playing and songwriting skills and he continues to evolve his musical style through his relentless touring schedule in clubs, arts centres and festivals.

Matt is touring his new album in March/April 2016 around the UK. It has been recorded with contributions from Clive Deamer on drums (Radiohead, Portishead) Danny Thompson on bass (John Martyn, Pentangle) and piano from the musical director of the Royal Shakespeare company. It is much anticipated by his fans around Europe and is scheduled for release early in 2016.
