Anne-Marie Sanderson's voice is evocative of birds in flight - soaring, gliding, swooping - and it finds its home among the tall trees of her deft guitar work. Describing Anne-Marie's distinctive indie-folk music in these terms is apt; she is an artist who casts a careful eye and attentive ear to the natural world, alternating between wide-eyed wonder and wry observation.
With two EPs already released into the wild, Anne-Marie’s “Book Songs Vol. 1” EP, a collection of songs inspired by literature, is due out this April. Anne-Marie will be performing in libraries, bookshops, music venues and festivals across the UK and Europe throughout 2018.
Recent performing highlights include being selected to open for Ralph McTell at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, and opening the Acoustic Stage at Manchester Pride 2017. For fans of Nick Drake, Vashti Bunyan, Beth Orton and books.
Double Denim are a family band, with two members of the same family in Chelsea & Jake. The extended (non-bloodline) family of Harry & Tom complete this four-piece from Britain’s Ocean City. Armed with psych-fringed Indie Rock, radical Garage rock dynamics, and a nod to a dirty weekend spent with Fleetwood Mac and The Maccabees.
A folk pop group based in the West Midlands headed by Bethan Morgan who is from a small town Llangollen in Wales but moved to Birmingham and started the group with fellow musician David Ross.
After practicing and writing at Rock School based in Oldbury, they decided to take it further and set about acquiring a full band who are, Lauren Bennett on double bass, Steve Sheldon on electric guitar and Robert Mcintosh on drums.
Their influences include Laura Marling, Paul Simons, Cat Stevens, and Scott Matthews to name a few. W
