Hiroshige's Japan: 53 Stations Of The Tokaido Road

Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) is one of the great masters of the Japanese landscape print and his most famous series is the Fifty-three Stages of the Tokaido Road. From 1 August a selection of these striking landscapes will be on display here in Wolverhampton Art Gallery alongside pieces from the gallery’s own collection including japanned ware and intricate ivory figures.
