The Diary Of Anne Frank

To escape the horrors of Nazi persecution, Otto Frank hid with his wife and two daughters in rooms above an Amsterdam warehouse for two years. The Van Daans, their son Peter and later a dentist, Mr Dussel, joined them in the “Secret Annexe”

In her diary, Anne recorded the trials and tribulations of the people around her, all trying to live a normal life, whilst under the constant threat of discovery by the Gestapo, their only contact with the world outside being a few brave Dutch friends.

The play, based on moving, tense and at times amusing incidents, seen through the eyes of a young teenager, is made all the more dramatic because it is a true account of the lives of real people.
