Fame - The Musical
First came the hit motion picture, then the long-running television series. Now the screen sensation of the 1980’s is a stage sensation!
Fame - The Musical is indeed gonna live forever. Set during the last years of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984),
Fame -The Musical is a bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today: issues of prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance.
It follows the lives of a group of students from differing backgrounds and cultures who are attending New York’s High School for the Performing Arts.. the FAME school. The show charts the successes and struggles, the enthusiasm and the talents of the pupils from their initial audition through four years of hard work to graduation.
With well known songs such as Hard Work, Bring on Tomorrow and the title song itself, coupled with loads of exciting and energetic dance routines, this really is a show that all young people will want to be a part of.
