The Importance Of Being Earnest
The Importance of Being Earnest is Oscar Wilde's most famous comedy; these well-formed characters will have the audience in stitches as they squirm and snigger through his infamous witticisms.
As an excuse to leave the tedious country life and so he can pursue Gwendolyn, the delectable daughter of the formidable Lady Bracknell, Jack invents a brother 'Ernest'. Meanwhile, Algernon decides to take the name Ernest, when going to meet Jack's young ward Cecily for the first time. When each of them has to confess the truth - we find out what it really means to be Earnest!
Suitable for ages 11 and over.
