This 1986 award winning play focuses on Turing's work to break the Nazi code during World War II, a feat that is often credited with making a significant contribution to the allies' victory, as well as his personal battle with a society unaccepting of his sexuality.

Patricia Richardson, the play's director, says "The life of Alan Turing is both inspirational and tragic. As a mathematician, he laid the foundations for the computer age and Churchill himself recognised the immense contribution that his code breaking work made to the war effort.

'Breaking the Code' celebrates this while examining the betrayals in his private life with great sensitivity. Audiences can look forward to a production that's both entertaining and thought-provoking."
