Wild Life: Low Life In A Field 2015

If you want to hear some of the finest house, funk and disco in an incredible setting among the Wiltshire downs, with boutique food and drink and a close-knit house-party-style crowd, Low Life In A Field could possibly be festival perfection for you.

At just 500 people, it’s the festival spin-off of long-running London warehouse night Low Life. Headliners include original Ibiza legend Alfredo playing in the sunshine with the queen of acid house Nancy Noise, and drum & bass legend Fabio going back to his soulboy roots to play a unique funk and house set. The rest of the bill is equally impeccable, with the finest DJs from the current Balearic and nu-disco scene, including Chris Duckenfield, Ray Mang, Soft Rocks and Bill Brewster himself.

Low Life is the best party you’ve never heard of. Started in New York 20 years ago by dance music gurus Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton, authors of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, it transplanted to London in 1998 and never looked back. DJmag nominated it as best UK club night in 2010, but otherwise Low Life has avoided publicity and stayed resolutely under-the-radar.

Formed from the inclusive parties of downtown New York and the rave era in Britain, Low LIfe has grown solely by word of mouth, so the crowd these days is a combustible mix of older ravers keeping the spirit alive, and younger hipsters happy to let their beards down and have some fun.
