Peter James (1), Jane Wenham Jones

Peter James’s international crime series featuring Detective Superintendent Roy Grace have sold 15 million copies worldwide and have given him seven Sunday Times number ones. He talks to Jane Wenham Jones about his extraordinary career in crime.

Peter James has written 26 novels that have been translated into 36 languages. His novella ‘The Perfect Murder’ was adapted by Shaun McKenna into a hit stage play which toured in the UK during 2014. ‘Dead Simple’ the second adaptation of his work is currently touring the country with an all-star cast. James has served two consecutive terms as chairman of the UK Crime Writers Association, and is currently Overseas Vice-President of International Thriller Writers in the USA.
