Musicport 16 Festival Launch Night

Tromboranga is one of the hottest Salsa bands on the world circuit at present and will be in the UK as part of their Salsa Dura World tour.

This new Salsa sensation, resident in Barcelona, Spain, and made up of musicians from Latin America and Europe, is the pure essence of Salsa Dura. Their sound is mixed with the trombone, solid percussion and voices which retain the essence of the sonero (voice improvisation among the chorus) with much of their influences taken from salsa music the 60s and 70s.

Their original songs like Humildad, Palo pa la campana, Amigo el ratón and Adios que te vaya bien, talk about stories that depict the everyday life of ordinary people and these songs have become number one hits on Latin radio stations and Salsa dance floors worldwide.

Their first EP, Agua que va caer, which hit the market in November 2011 in anticipation of their first official CD Salsa Dura (released in April 2012), was considered by Latin music lovers to be among the 10 best CDs of 2012.

They CD recorded with Bloque 53 band from Barcelona, Tumba Puchunga where the song Me alborotas and Tumba Puchunga reached number one on many Latin radio listings. Their music is very popular with salsa dance aficionados, as well as a growing Latino fan base in Latin America, the USA and the Latino diaspora around the world.
