Bristol native Roni Size is one of the most respected junglists, with production credits spanning dozens of labels, projects, and releases, from stripped-down underground classics like Time Stretch to the smoothly sophisticated Top 20 UK pop hit Brown Paper Bag. Although not as quick to rise to acclaim as peers such as Goldie and LTJ Bukem, Size's influence as a producer, label owner, and committed underground magnate figured him as one of the emerging sound's true pioneers. The breakout success of his debut album New Forms -- a Top Ten hit in the UK, where it also won the Mercury Prize -- vaulted him to a greater degree of popularity than any other drum'n'bass producer. After a break during the early 2000s, Size resumed activity with new productions, a reworked version of New Forms, and performances that continued to fuse electronic and analog elements.

After discovering the Acid House & UK Rave scene, it wasn’t long before he decided that 2 turntables & a mixer were the best things ever invented & embarked upon teaching himself how to use them. After a few appearances at various free parties & under various guises, he eventually settled with the name “Skitz” & set about making a name for himself in the South-West underground scene, playing mainly Techno, Acid trance & occasionally Jungle/DnB. In 1996 he started co-running a night called “GBH” at legendary club “Pawlett Manor” with fellow DJ “Tormentor”. When the club was demolished in 1998, they took the hugely successful GBH nights to a variety of South-West venues including The Arena (Bridgwater), Brean Leisure Park (Brean), The Depot (Bristol) & Lakota (Bristol) to name but a few. By the Summer of ‘99, after many differences of opinions, the GBH boys decided to part company. With Skitz wanting to spend more time concentrating on DJ’ing & less on promoting, he handed the reins fully over to Tormentor who went on to make GBH one of the area’s leading dance organisations. Skitz remained resident until 2002. Disillusioned & bored with the Techno scene of the time, he decided a new direction was needed & started delving more & more into Drum n’ Bass & filthy Breaks. By 2004 Skitz was dead & SK2 had been born. In the Summer of 2006, SK2 & fellow ex-GBH resident “The Maestro” started running their own Breaks & Dn’B nights called “Inferno”, to be followed in 2007 with their “Inferno Sessions” bar nights as well. SK2 joined Nubreaks in the Summer of 2007 with his Inferno Sessions Radio Show playing the very latest & best in vinyl & digital releases from the worlds of Breaks & Drum n’ Bass. The show ran for 5 years with the last show on 11th June 2012. Nowadays you can catch him playing all over the UK, sometimes solo but usually teamed up as a back2back duo with Maestro. Together they also now run the dance stage at the mighty Sat In A Field Festival. ****************************************************************** Other profiles: Facebook: www.facebook.com/infernoevents www.facebook.com/groups/infernoevents/ Podomatic: sk2.podomatic.com Twitter: twitter.com/DJSK2 twitter.com/Infernoevents Instagram: www.instagram.com/djsk2/ www.instagram.com/infernoevents_uk/ Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/sk2 Reverbnation: www.reverbnation.com/djsk2 Mixcloud: www.mixcloud.com/sk2/ www.mixcloud.com/inferno/ Hear This: hearthis.at/sk2/

Maestro is a Drum n' Bass & Breaks DJ hailing from the South-West of the UK, co-promoter of Inferno Events alongside SK2 & ex-GBH resident DJ. Maestro's DJ career started way back in the early 90's as a resident for the legendary GBH events first off at the equally legendary Pawlett Manor before they spread out across the South-West playing regularly at iconic venues like Bristols Lakota & The Depot. Originally a Minimal Techno DJ, Maestro started delving into Drum n' Bass & Breaks in the mid noughties & together with fellow ex-GBH resident & promoter they formed Inferno Events in 2006. From starting off as a small one-off event in a pub, Inferno went on to host events all over the South-West at venues such as The Perfect 5th in Taunton & Trinity Centre in Bristol among others.. SK2 & Maestro both individually hosted their own radio shows for a while on USA based Nubreaks Radio & nowadays they mainly DJ together as a back2back duo, playing all over the UK at clubs, festivals & raves. They now run the dance stage at the mighty Sat In A Field Festival as well as their Inferno events.
