The Endellion String Quartet continues its Beethoven cycle with two quartets from op.18, plus the great A minor quartet op.132, in which Beethoven composed “a song of thanksgiving offered to the divinity by a convalescent”. The pre-concert talk by Gavin Plumley at 6.15pm explores the inspiration of op.132 for the poet T S Eliot when writing his Four Quartets. Free for 25s and under.
