Talk: Somerset's Beastly Past
Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser
Ice Age Climates and Changing Fauna
Move, adapt or die. At various times, Somerset has been the home of hippos and elephants, arctic foxes and reindeer. Over 10 years, Professor Danielle Schreve has been excavating a cave in Ebbor Gorge which is yielding fascinating insights into animal responses to abrupt climate change at the end of the last Ice Age. She tells the enthralling tale of changing landscapes, fauna and early humans, and explores the lessons to be learned. Warning: product may include bones! Free for 25s and under.
