Dave Smith and Fofoulah

Dave Smith (Old Wellensian) is one of the UK’s great drums pioneers, as anyone who has heard him with JuJu or Robert Plant’s Sensational Space Shifters will know. With Fofoulah he matches African rhythms against anything from rap to dance. The band includes talking-drums expert Kaw-Secka, and Batch Gueye with his chanting African vocals. Rescheduled from a weather-cancelled appearance last February, our own young musicians will also be joining Fofoulah for a life-changing collaboration.
The seating for this concert is unreserved. Free for 25s and under.
