Jazz Encounters
Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser
Featuring an all-star line-up and showcasing her famously eclectic song list, Clare Teal and her trio, plus special guest Pee Wee Ellis, return to Cedars Hall with a celebration of the Great American and British Songbooks, and perhaps a nod towards Weimar Germany.
Clare won British Jazz Singer of the year in 2005, 2007 and 2015 and was 2017 BBC Jazz Singer of the Year. Pee Wee Ellis worked with James Brown in the 60s and Van Morrison in the 70s and 80s and cemented his reputation for immaculate good taste and imagination by choosing to live in Frome. “Somerset may not be ‘jazz’ but it’s home”.
From swing to ballads, Latin to blues, this will be an evening of unbridled entertainment.
