This retelling of Hardy’s classic novel comes direct from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it got 5 star reviews.

In this mad-dash play packed with folk music and dance, Thomas Hardy’s Victorian classic Tess of the d’Urbervilles is given a fiery and loving restoration. Performed by three virtuosic actresses and an outstanding live folk band, the tale of Tess – who fights to overcome a harrowing encounter at the hands of her cousin Alec – is brought vividly to the stage in this production which is touring the pubs, inns and halls of West Country villages.
