Shalamar are coming to Watford this May!
Some 35 years after their major chart breakthrough with the million selling ‘Friends’ album Shalamar are coming to Watford!
‘Over the course of our career we’ve played shows nearby in S Albans and various North London venues but never Watford’ said original member Jeffrey Daniel, ‘However, this Summer as part of our ‘Greatest Hits over London ‘ tour we specifically asked our promoters to find us some new theatres to play and Watford was recommended as a great area for the 80’s Soul crowd so here we are – at The Collosseum on Sunday 26th May and what’s more its a Bank Holiday Weekend- all 80’soul fans will recall that Bank Holiday Sundays meant Soul Festivals! – well we’ll bring the ‘Uptown Festival’ to Watford!’
Expect to hear all the big hits - There it is, I can make you feel good, 2nd Time Around, Take That to The Bank, Make That move, Dead Giveaway, Right in the Socket and of course A Night To Remember! and more!
And to make it even more of a ‘night to remember’ then special guest on the night will be award winning UK soulstress Natasha Watts – who recently picked up another award recently in the 2018 Brightstar Awards for ‘Best Uk Female Artiste’ beating the of Lisa Stansfield to the 1st prize!

A soul / funk singer from London, Natasha’s musical journey has resulted in only what can be described as an evocative musical journal, something she describes as “deeply personal, resonant and cathartic and it’s been in the making for some time now”. It appears that time has come and the album is tipped to fly and with prestigious house and soul label Cool Million supporting and producing it only validates and further cements Natasha’s soulful credentials. Recent regular plays on Jazz, Solar and Smooth FM respectively, also means, for once – you can believe the hype!
