Agatha Christie wrote 'The Unexpected Guest' in 1958. It opened at The Duchess Theatre in August of that year.

On a foggy night, Starkwedder enters the home of the Warwicks through a French window in the study and finds the dead body of wheelchair-bound Richard Warwick, with Richard's wife, Laura, holding a gun. Things are not clear-cut and the police are baffled, not least by unidentified fingerprints, revelations of motives and a variety of suspects as the unpleasant victim had many enemies. This being Agatha Christie, a final twist turns everything on its head.

The show is performed by Watford's multi-award winning amateur theatre group, Belmont Theatre.
