Jarlath Regan

Jarlath Regan appearing at this event

A former advertising executive who turned to comedy when his unmarketable greetings card ideas got him the sack, Irishman Jarleth Regan is a jack of all trades and all round decent fella, the kind you could take home to meet your mum. Raised on the windswept plains of the Curragh of Kildare he dreamed of being a professional basketball player but shelved the ambition due to combination of injuries and on the early on-set of cop on. The NBAs loss has been stand-up comedy's gain. 'A subtle yet sublime helping of observational humour' (The Herald) 'Side-splitting stuff... causes near hysteria in the room' (The Metro) 'A refreshing and hilarious change of pace' (The Independent) 'While he's not as well-known as some Irish stand-ups, he's every bit as talented' (Sunday Express) 'He has a skilful way with words and a playful misplaced logic' (Chortle).

After four years at Heart 106.2FM, as host of the drivetime show, Greg has recently joined Virgin Radio as their Sunday afternoon host. 'He has also appeared in stand-up shows on the BBC and Paramount Comedy… but the appearance he is most proud of is playing himself in the Christmas special of The Office 'Burns is also an ambassador for the Global Angels charity and often hosts fund-raising evenings for them' (Chortle) 'An assured, affable performer with some top-notch routines, cheeky Burns is a solid addition to any comedy bill... Enjopyable stuff' (Steve Bennett).
