The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires were composed in the 1960’s by Astor Piazzolla; they are inspired by the music of his native Argentina, with elements of jazz and classical music thrown in, to create a unique style of exuberant tango music. Also on the programme, four delightful Miniatures by Frank Bridge, and the virtuosic and passionate Piano Trio in D minor by Felix Mendelssohn.
