Elliott Morris, Andreas Tophoj & Rune Barlund

This promises to be an evening of music of the highest quality. A double header with instrumentalists Andreas Tophøj and Rune Barlund from Denmark, and guitarist and singer/songwriter Elliott Morris.

Andreas Tophøj and Rune Barslund are well established musicians in their native Denmark, individually, with other bands, and as a duo. Having previously resided in Ireland and the US they draw on a wide range of Celtic and other folk influences and combine them with the folk traditions of Denmark to produce a distinctive mix of mainly self penned tunes played on a variety of instruments. If you’re familiar with and love other Northern European/Scandinavian bands such as Dreamers Circus and Frigg, you’ll also love Andreas and Rune. It’s worth noting that Andreas was shortlisted for Musician of the Year at the 2015 Danish Folk Awards. This will be their first UK tour, unlikely to be their last, but possibly one of the few times you’ll get the chance to see them in an intimate acoustic setting.
