Merry Hell:
The sound of dreams realised, joy unconfined, your favourite yesterdays returning and the promise of tomorrow. Merry Hell are all this and more.
Founded in their native North West of England, Merry Hell is an eight-piece folk-rock band with a history, a pedigree and a bright future. They have risen to become festival favourites, their first three albums finding favour with critics, broadcasters and music fans alike.
They are continuing to develop an enviable reputation for the quality of their song writing, recorded work and live performances.
Gerry Colvin:
Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Gerry joined pop band ‘The Man Upstairs’. They released three singles and toured with ‘The Smiths’.
Gerry also co-founded and fronted the legendary John Peel favourite skiffle-cowpunk indie outfit ‘Terry & Gerry’. This seminal band toured Europe and the USA and appeared on countless Radio and TV shows including “The Tube” and “The Old Grey Whistle Test”.
In the 90’s Colvin’s other major project was film music as vocalist with ‘The National Screen Orchestra’; he also performed as a comedy double act with Hollywood superstar Mackenzie Crook.
Gerry continues to record and release critically acclaimed albums, with the latest released in 2018
