As her debut album, Lights, made so thrillingly clear, Ellie Goulding uses her voice as a texture in much the same way that a skilled instrumentalist would. It is a sound – in Ellie's case, an utterly distinctive and unforgettable one – that can play as important a role in her songs as any other musical detail.
The BRIT-winning singer/songwriter released Lights in 2010 and followed it up with Halcyon in 2012. Both albums peaked at number one in the UK album chart and went double-platinum. Halcyon was re-released with ten additional tracks as Halcyon Days in 2013. These included How Long Will I Love You?, which became the BBC Children in Need single, and her first number one single, Burn, which has since racked up nearly 160 million views on YouTube.

Her debut release, the Brit award-winning 'Lungs', notched up a staggering 65 consecutive weeks in the UK Top 40 album charts, while her follow-up Ceremonials debuted at no.1. She also scored a no.2 hit by teaming up with Dizzee Rascal on her memorable cover of The Source/Candi Staton's 'You Got The Love', re-titled 'You Got The Dirtee Love'!

Amethyst Amelia Kelly, aka Australian-American Iggy Azalea, is a professional model (2012's 'New Face Of Levi Jeans') turned hiphop/rap and electronic performer. Following a couple of well-received mix tapes, Iggy eventually signed to Mercury Records and Island Def Jam to release her debut album 'The New Classic', featuring guest appearances by T.I. and Charli XCX. Infatuated with hip hop from the early age of 11 when she first heard Tupac, Iggy is also heavily influenced by Missy Elliott, along with a guilty love of the Spice Girls!

'Timbaland ascended to the top of the rap industry in the late '90s, remarkably balancing his in-demand hit-making abilities with his outlandish production style. Few rap producers were capable of such a balance between commerce and craft. Timbaland produced an endless list of hits, primarily for a select group of affiliates (Missy Elliott, Aaliyah, Jay-Z, Ginuwine) though also for a number of other A-list artists (Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Justin Timberlake)'. – VH1
