Dido And Aeneas

Celebrate Mother’s Day with an inspiring performance of Purcell’s 'Dido and Aeneas', a classical tale of sensual beauty and soaring vitality, set in the exquisite Waldegrave Drawing Room, once home to Horace Walpole.

Featuring professional opera singers, a children’s chorus from Twickenham Preparatory School, an ensemble from the Royal Academy of Music and a special appearance by young dancers from a ballet school in Moscow choreographed by Ekaterina Vladimirova from the Bolshoi, this sumptuous miniature masterpiece is directed by Glyndebourne’s talented Simon Iorio, conducted by Andy Langley and produced by Helen Astrid.
