The New Coast

The New Coast appearing at this event

The New Coast is the moniker of Tunbridge Wells duo Nick Blyth and Chris Cheater. Born from an infatuation with American cinema and pop culture, they have created their own distinct style of pure Indie Pop After collaborating with close-friend and fellow artist KYKO, they quickly burst onto the scene with debut single Lost in Your Love; garnering a wave of online attention. Quickly followed by singles Slow Down & Melbourne, The New Coast rapidly established themselves in the Alt-Pop scene. 2017 has seen a trio of singles released via UK indie LAB Records. Sleeptalk, Home & most recent single Caught have enjoyed continued Spotify 'New Music Friday' & BBC Introducing support. On Caught's making, Nick Blyth comments, “‘Caught’, lyrically dives into memories I have of Madrid, last spring. It was the first time I felt like I was sleepwalking around a city, with someone that felt otherworldly and intriguing. It encapsulates the loss of identity you convey whilst trying to work someone else out. We find solace in writing about these moments as we can pinpoint the mood and push our sound further & further.” 2017 has been an incredibly exciting year for the two members and they will look to cap it off with their first sold-out headline slot, taking place at Thousand Island in London on 30th November, with other live dates in Manchester, Hull, and Brighton.
