National Youth Choir Concert
Cornish folk, old-time barbershop and New World motets – West meets West: a musical journey from Cornwall to the New World. The National Youth Training Choir celebrates the musical heritage of western lands near and far in collaboration with the award-winning Crioch Quartet folk group. Featuring brand new arrangements based on Cornish and West Country heritage, the programme also travels across the sea to take in music from the New World cathedrals, early American shape-note music, African-American spirituals and the classic sound of US barbershop. Part of the NYCGB Summerfest.
