Claire MacNaughton started the blog A Modern Military Mother. She is considered an outspoken voice as a no baking, no singing, feminist military spouse.

Claire's caustic observations resonate with many married men and women. She ghost wrote the Sunday Times bestseller 'Battlefield Memoir' and in 2012 self-published her short non-fiction book 'A Modern Military Mother - Tales from the frontline.

For the last 3 years she has been a hit on the Wiltshire and Hampshire WI speaker circuit, although due to the nature of the audience couldn't speak her ruder material!
