The Californian composer Terry Riley’s minimalist masterpiece In C ushered in a new musical era in 1964; the world was never the same afterwards. Reflecting Riley’s love of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, mysticism and North African music, In C is defined by interactions between a diverse group of musicians, and every performance is unique, hypnotic and beautiful.
