The Tagore Festival in 2014 will focus on his notions of peace and unity through internationalism and, in 2015, we plan to draw on the rich heritage of work by Ravi Shankar, Imrat Khan, Uday Shan-Kar and, more recently, Param Vir at Dartington to focus on the influence of South Asian art and philosophy on Western culture.
"Tagore transcended from divisions of nationality, race and religion and saw humanity as one and in harmony with the natural world. The Festival will mark this important centenary and explore Tagore's relevance to our time. At a time when humanity is fragmented and divided, we need the message of Tagore in our time - now, more than ever." - Satish Kumar
Bringing together some of the best change makers, artists and thinkers from across the world, the festival will be an exciting, stimulating, enjoyable and transformational journey for our audiences.
