Shakespeare Schools Festival

Boasting a 35,000 strong cast of young people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities from 1,153 schools in 417 towns. 320 Festival nights in total will take place at 138 theatres nationwide in the space of six weeks for Shakespeare Schools Festival 2015.

Each performance is the culmination of weeks of creativity, collaboration and copious amounts of hard work on the part of casts of up to 30 from each school, guided by Teachers-turned-Directors who first took on the challenge to produce and perform a Shakespeare play at the beginning of the year.

Norwich Playhouse will start a two night run featuring four schools including George White Junior School who will perform The Tempest and Stalham Academy who will perform Julius Caesar. The Churchill Theatre in Bromley, The Theatre in Chipping Norton and the Theatre Royal Wakefield will also begin two night runs.
