Emily Smith, Jamie McClennan

Celebrated trad musicians Emily Smith and Jamie McClennan lead a special concert by some of the region’s most talented young musicians. In words and song, Jamie and Emily will introduce the young performers of Music Beats, who will give a live showcase of their music.

Led by musician and Smart Indie record producer, Robert Maitland, some of these young songwriters will be given the chance to embark on a real music business venture in one-to-one workshops, culminating in the commercial release of
completed projects.

The workshops and concert are part of the on-going Burnsong project and will provide a legacy of songs for the participants.

The concert is a chance to hear the rich quality of fresh new talent being produced in Dumfries and Galloway.
