Double Bill 2015
Shobana Jeyasingh Dance present their much acclaimed Strange Blooms, twinned with a brand new work Material Men, a virtuoso piece for two star soloists of the Indian diaspora, one classical and the other hip hop. This new piece sees her working with Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin whilst. Gabriel Prokofiev provides the score for Strange Blooms, an ensemble work inspired by the cellular life of plants that brings together a complex interplay of energy and pattern.
New work commissioned by Southbank Centre with funding from The PRS Drummond Fund.
