The West End In Swansea

The West End In Swansea is a week-long musical theatre workshop delivered by four top West End professionals and culminating in an evening performance on the last day. The musicals that will be covered this year are Les Miserables, Shrek, Memphis and CATS.

Amongst the West End stars who will be assisting and leading the workshops is Swansea's Hayley Gallivan who's played Elphaba in Wicked (West End), Nancy in Oliver (Sheffield Crucible) and Piper in The Light Princess (National Theatre).

At only £50 per person for the week, this opportunity is fantastic value for money and is possible due to the West End in Swansea project being funded in part by an Arts Council of Wales grant secured by The Arts in Education Team, City and County of Swansea.

From the 24th to the 27th, the days are split into morning (9am to 1pm for 8 to 11 year olds) and afternoon (1:30pm to 5:30pm for 12 to 16 year olds). There are just twenty-five places for each session.

Both groups come together on Friday 28th August to work on a piece to be performed that evening which friends and family will be able to attend for a small cost.
