Viv Albertine of The Slits shares her fearless story of the male dominated music scene and how she challenged the image of women in rock, with Sunderland musician Marie Nixon (Kenickie, The Cornshed Sisters).
In 1970, Viv Albertine had never seen a woman play electric guitar, seven years later, she was lead guitarist an all-female punk band.
Featuring extracts from her memoirs Clothes Clothes Clothes, Music Music Music, Boys Boys Boys, the audience can also enjoy a Q&A session and book signing.
