All You Need Is The Beatles

Acclaimed Gloucestershire/Wiltshire based Beatles tribute band All You Need Is The Beatles will be performing a special concert at the Subscription Rooms in Stroud on Saturday 3rd June to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the release of The Beatles’ ground-breaking album, ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’.

The LP, which features classic Beatles songs such as ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’, ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, ‘When I’m Sixty-Four’ and ‘A Day In The Life’, will be performed in its entirety and the show will also feature many of The Beatles’ best-loved songs from all eras of their career.

Julian Pugsley, who plays the role of John Lennon in the band, said, “We are very excited about this concert as, to many people, ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ is The Beatles’ masterpiece. We will be performing the whole album in the first half of the show plus the two songs released as a single prior to its launch, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ and ‘Penny Lane’. In the second half of the concert, we will play a selection of The Beatles’ best loved songs from 1963 to 1970 designed to get fans up and dancing.”

Released on 1 June 1967, ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was an immediate commercial and critical success, spending 27 weeks at the top of the albums chart in the UK. It has been described as the most important and influential rock and roll album ever recorded.
