Scottish Opera

Each year Scottish Opera takes four singers and a pianist out and about around Scotland, travelling the highways and byways, by land, air and sea, to take a musical mix of opera highlights to some of the country’s smaller and more remote venues.

Come February and March, they’ll be packing their van full of props and costumes to bring you an entertaining evening of music and good company. Whether you’re new to opera or a seasoned fan, there’s sure to be something for you, be it a tune you’re discovering for the first time or an old favourite you’ll be humming all the way home.

This year’s cast is full of fresh new talent, including two Scottish Opera Emerging Artists and two recent graduates of the National Opera Studio. Former Emerging Artist repetiteur Jonathon Swinard returns to the piano and current Emerging Artist director Jim Manganello is at the helm.

Join them as they set off on an unforgettable journey featuring music by Mozart, Handel, Puccini, Gilbert and Sullivan and many more.
