Following last season’s well received performance of David Matthews’ Piano Concerto, we welcome back Young Steinway Artist Thomas Nickell to perform Gershwin in a fantastic evening of American classics. Alongside this jazz-classical masterpiece, the concert features a celebration of the American Wild West with a symphonic arrangement from the ballet ‘Rodeo’ and Dvorak’s ‘New World’ completed while living in New York and influenced by the ‘spirit’ of American folk music.
