Box Tale Soup's version of M.R. James' Casting the Runes features just two performers, a terrifying handmade puppet and a haunting soundtrack of original music composed especially for the show.
With minimal set and innovative design, Box Tale Soup presents a chilling hour of theatre. The story centres around Edward Dunning, an expert in the occult, whose life is turned upside down when he receives a strange strip of paper covered with runic lettering. Is someone playing tricks on Dunning or is there something more sinister at work?
