Not Yet Suffragette

Not Yet Suffragette is a one-woman show written and performed by Natalie Ann Cutler. A mix of feminist theatre and stand up comedy exploring how ‘not far’ women’s rights have come since winning the vote.

The story begins on the front lines of WW1 with Flora Sands, the only British woman to have officially served as a solider in the first world war. Documenting women’s struggles from 1920s to present day as they juggle the stereotypes thrown at them by society, with trying to make their own way in the world.

Not Yet Suffragette touches on the issues of the Tampon Tax, public breast feeding, marriage, child birth and the Gender Pay Gap before concluding with a musical finale based around the true story of 17 women currently serving life in jail for miscarriage in El Salvador.
