Psychedelic goth band The Golden Age of Nothing, from Stockton on Tees, release their debut album – Ghosts Destroy Us – on Friday 7th August on Three Witches Recordings.
The three piece band, comprising Graeme Wilkinson, Graham Seaman and Doyle Alderson, have been generating a real buzz in and around Teesside with their unique live set featuring songs about dead cosmonauts, shipwrecks and polar expeditions gone wrong. Audiences have been digging the band’s atmospheric, brooding drum machine driven psych noise, as well as their clattering goth-inspired grooves.
“It’s a brightly-coloured trip into darkness,” says Graeme, who plays guitar and sings, as well as writing the lyrics. “The songs are short stories that pull you into their own little tragic world, laughing as they do it.”
