Catch 22 with MC Danny Mcloughlin, Nathan Caton and Lauren Pattison
Catch-22 favourite Danny Mcloughlin is heading up hosting duties tonight. His innate comic timing and confident stage presence combined with a finely tuned ability to react and think on his feet make for a winning comic recipe. This combination means Danny is widely regarded as one of the best MCs around and a regular compere for the coveted Edinburgh Comedy Award Galas.
Bursting out of the North East and onto the international circuit, Lauren Pattison has performed at numerous national and international festivals. In 2018, she was the only UK rising star invited to Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, performing on the Brit(ish) lineup. Along with Montreal, she has performed at Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand and Kilkenny International Comedy Festivals, and in Autumn 2017 she toured India for two weeks with Soho Theatre, playing in Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai.
Lauren is a regular at all the major national comedy clubs and has provided tour support for Katherine Ryan, Jason Manford, Kerry Godliman, Stewart Francis and Dane Baptiste, as well as gracing the comedy stages of Latitude and Reading and Leeds Festivals.

As seen on Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week and Russell Howard’s Good News, Nathan Caton is one of the most exciting young comedians on the scene. Gigging since the tender age of 19, over the last decade he has established himself both as a circuit headliner and a name on TV and radio. Within his first few years on stage, he had picked up various accolades and coveted plaudits including the Chortle Student Comic of the Year award and Broadcast Hotshot and written and starred in a pilot for Paramount Comedy (now Comedy Central) entitled The Nathan Caton Show. Since then Caton has gone from strength to strength, wowing audiences at comedy clubs up and down the UK, and on his numerous TV and radio appearances, with his delightfully charming blend of personal and political comedy.

Nathan is a young black British comic, gigging on both the mainstream and black comedy circuit. His set is highly observational, influenced by his culture and upbringing, and also coming from a young person's outlook on life, from the well-known Nigerian traffic warden and the always-disciplining West-Indian mother, to MTV's Pimp my Ride. 'Excellent story-telling skills keep the crowd easily entertained' (Three Weeks). ‘Caton is probably the most exciting young black comic on the scene’ (Fest Magazine). 'Caton's a slick performer with an unbeatable stage attitude and the confident air of someone much more experienced' (Chortle). 'Compelling, well-observed stand-up... He specialises in laidback, on-the-nose material, chopping down fools of all colours, both in day-to-day life and in the media' (The Guardian). Nathan Caton was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2015.

With an amiable, confident stage presence and a well written set, Danny delivers material with more than just an immediate pay-off line, preferring to take the joke one or two steps further. Confident enough to take a risk on stage he does so not to the detriment of the audience, keeping them laughing along or hanging on every word. A bright future surely awaits. 'McLoughlin's main weapon is his audacity: he's so bold he can recite an advertising jingle and still get plenty of laughs' (Chortle).
