Ladies In Lavender
Ladies in Lavender is the stage adaptation of the screenplay starring Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.
The play is a nostalgic and evocative story of unfulfilled dreams and unrequited love.
The life of two ageing sisters is transformed when they decide to house a young stranger washed up on the beach near their home.
Sprigs of lavender were traditionally placed between pieces of lacework to keep them fresh.
This is what the Widdington sisters have done with their hopes dreams and passions.
