Internationally acclaimed tenor Neil Jenkins sings Robert Schumann's magnificent song cycle Dichterliebe.

The whole closely integrated cycle of this masterpiece traces an inner narrative, from the initial awakening of love, through rapture, disillusion and despair to tender regret and a final bittersweet, ironic acceptance.

Neil Jenkins has sung the title roles in Peter Grimes, Count Ory, Idomeneo and King Ouf in L’Etoile for NSO. He is joined in Schumann duets by Siân Griffiths, who for NSO has sung Puck Oberon, Lucy The Beggar’s Opera and Spirit The Indian Queen.
