Ana Egge returns for Coastal Connections to Sussex for this limited ticket event in aid of the Maher Women's and Children's Refuge to promote her new record
Is It the Kiss, Ana Egge's eleventh album, has nine originals and one cover (Diana Jones), and amply displays her singularly soulful singing and songwriting, according to Steve Earle sounding like she's telling us her deepest, darkest secrets. Ana believes that songs can provide a window into the mystery that we are to ourselves, where questions and answers are intertwined, as in her lyric, the touch is it the love is it the kiss is it the kiss. The CD features wind and brass arrangements by multi-instrumentalist/producer Alec Spiegelman (Cuddle Magic) and guest appearances by Iris Dement, Matt Davidson (Twain), Alex Hargreaves and Buck Meek (Big Thief).
If you saw her last time you'll know how great she was so don't miss this superb gig in an intimate venue.
