Clare Deniz, Raymond Burley

Clare Deniz (cello) and Raymond Burley (guitar) have performed numerous times in concerts throughout Cornwall and beyond, always to widespread acclaim. Their musical ability and popular choice of programmes to suit all tastes, from aficionados to those with a more general interest in classical music, make their concerts a joy from start to finish.

The result has been described as 'beautiful', 'surprising' and 'delightful' by audiences wherever they have performed together. The instruments create a delicate and interesting quality of sound and, in fact, are really an updated version of the lute and viol da gamba which audiences in Tudor times would have heard and enjoyed.

The duo's repertoire is extensive, eclectic and easy on the ear. It ranges from Couperin right the way through to the exciting Tangos of Piazzolla!
